The SDW-550 features five 10/100 Base-TX ports housed in a rugged DIN-rail metal enclosure. It is specifically engineered to handle industrial communication challenges, such as electromagnetic interference (EMI), extreme temperatures, and vibration.

## Important Considerations (Usage Notes)

3. Grounding: Always ensure the functional earth (FE) point is properly connected to the DIN rail or ground bus to protect against surges.

4. Unmanaged Nature: Note that this is an unmanaged switch. If you require VLANs, IGMP snooping, or SNMP monitoring, you would need to look at Westermo’s Lynx or RedFox series.
