Important Usage & Installation Precautions

- Torque Verification: Tighten the terminal screws to the specified 3.5 N·m torque. Loose connections cause excessive resistive heating and thermal tripping.
- Conductor Sizing: Use copper cables sized correctly for a 40 A continuous rating (up to 35 mm² rigid or 25 mm² flexible wire). Strip conductors to exactly 14 mm.
- Ambient Temperature Derating: The rated current (I_n = 40 A) is calibrated at 50 °C. If installed in high ambient temperature panels (>50 °C), apply temperature derating factors per Schneider Electric guidelines.
- Enclosure Rating: The device itself is rated IP20. For outdoor or harsh industrial environments, it must be installed inside an enclosure rated IP54 or higher.
