The SUBCON 9 connector replaces traditional soldered or crimped D-SUB connectors with an easy-to-wire terminal block interface housed inside a rugged, EMI-shielded enclosure. It splits the 9-pin D-SUB signals out to clearly labeled screw or spring-cage terminals, allowing field technicians to wire or reconfigure serial networks quickly without specialized tools.

If your network requires a 120\ \Omega terminating resistor, you must manually wire it across the signal terminals at the end-of-line nodes.
  • Shield Continuity: Ensure that the cable’s braided shield is stripped back correctly and firmly clamped under the housing’s metal strain relief to maintain proper grounding.
  • Tightening Torque: Do not overtighten the small terminal block screws, as this can strip the threads or damage fine-stranded wires.
