The S7830A1005 interfaces directly with a 7800 SERIES Relay Module (such as the RM7800 or RM7840) via a 3-wire local communications bus. It monitors up to 21 electronic interlocks or safety switches (such as low water cutoffs, high gas pressure switches, and exhaust fan interlocks).

When a burner safety shutdown occurs, the S7830A1005 captures the exact interlock that opened first, preventing the troubleshooting confusion caused by subsequent “cascade” failures. This information is then displayed on a Keyboard Display Module (KDM) or transmitted to a central SCADA system.
