Product Detailed Description

An I/O Terminal Block Assembly (IOTA) is a rugged circuit board equipped with terminal blocks for field wiring, connectors for the I/O module, and options for redundant power distribution. The IOTA is mounted directly onto a carrier rail in a control cabinet. The corresponding Series C I/O module (e.g., CC-PAIH02) plugs directly onto the IOTA, eliminating the need for internal cabinet jumper wires and reducing points of failure.

  • Fusing Maintenance: For fused IOTA models, always replace blown fuses with the exact type and rating (e.g., ultra-fast acting) recommended by Honeywell to maintain certified protection levels.
  • Grounding (Shielding): Field cable shields must be cleanly terminated at the designated shield grounding strips on the IOTA carrier or cabinet ground bar to prevent EMI/RFI noise corruption.
  • Matching Part Numbers: Ensure the IOTA model precisely matches the I/O module type. For example, an Analog Input module cannot be plugged into a Digital Output IOTA, as the physical alignment pins and backplane routing differ.
