Important Considerations & Precautions
- Impulse Line Routing: For liquid or steam applications, mount the transmitter below the process taps and slope the impulse lines downward to prevent gas bubbles from trapping. For gas applications, mount the transmitter above the taps to allow condensate to drain back into the process.
- Static Pressure Over-loading: When commissioning the unit, open the stabilizing (equalizing) valve on the manifold first before opening the high and low-pressure block valves to prevent accidental over-pressurization on a single side of the sensor capsule.
- Material Selection: Ensure that the selected wetted materials (diaphragm and fill fluid) are compatible with the process medium to avoid hydrogen permeation or chemical corrosion.
- Seal Integrity: Regularly check the O-rings and process flange bolts for leaks, especially in high-temperature or thermal-cycling processes.
