The Terminal Base (IOTA) is a passive, rugged hardware assembly that mounts directly onto a DIN rail. It houses the physical screw or compression terminals for field wiring and features specialized edge connectors to accept the active I/O electronics module.
By separating the wiring interface from the electronics, Honeywell allows all field cables to be landed and commissioned before the sensitive AI cards are plugged in.
