The IC693MDL230B provides eight independent, isolated output channels for controlling AC loads such as solenoids, motor starters, indicators, and small relays. The defining characteristic of this module is channel-to-channel isolation. Unlike standard output modules that share a common return, each of the 8 channels on this module has its own isolated common return terminal. This allows the module to control loads powered by different AC power sources or phases on a single card.

- AC Power Only: This module uses Triacs as switching elements, which rely on the zero-crossing of AC current to turn off. Do not connect DC loads to this module, as the outputs will latch “ON” permanently until power is cut.
- Total Module Current: While each point can handle up to 0.5 A, ensure the sum of all simultaneous outputs does not exceed the maximum module rating of 4.0 A at your specific operating temperature.
- Wiring Orientation: Always refer to the faceplate wiring diagram. Because each channel has its own pair of terminals (Output and Return), incorrect cross-wiring can inadvertently bypass the isolation.
