A complete Foxboro electromagnetic flow meter system consists of two primary components:

1. Flow Tube (Sensor): Installed directly in the pipeline (e.g., 9100A, 9200A, 9300A, or 8000 Series). It creates a magnetic field across the pipe section via coils and captures the induced voltage using internal electrodes.
2. Magnetic Transmitter (Converter): Converts the microvolt-level signal into standardized analog, digital, or bus communications (e.g., IMT30A, IMT31A, IMT33A, or legacy IMT25). Available in compact integral mounts or remote field-mount configurations.

• Piping Run Straight Lengths: Ensure adequate straight pipe runs upstream (typically ge 5D) and downstream (typically ge 2D) from elbows or valves to maintain full measurement accuracy.
• Full Pipe Condition: The meter body must remain completely full of liquid during operation; partially filled pipes lead to significant measurement errors.
