1. Product Description

FOXBORO thermocouple sensors are industrial temperature sensing devices under Schneider Electric, designed to convert thermal energy into millivolt electrical signals for process temperature monitoring. The complete assembly includes thermocouple element, sheath, thermowell and connection head. It can be matched with Foxboro temperature transmitters or DCS I/O modules, widely used for real-time temperature acquisition in harsh industrial process environments. Multiple standard thermocouple types are available for different temperature ranges and medium conditions.

4. Notes / Precautions

1. Select proper thermocouple type and sheath material according to process temperature and medium corrosion property.
2. Install thermowell for protection to avoid direct damage from high pressure, scouring media.
3. Use shielded twisted pair cable for signal wiring to reduce electromagnetic interference and ground loop error.
4. Avoid over-temperature operation beyond the sensor rated range, which will cause permanent performance degradation.
5. Check insulation resistance regularly; perform periodic calibration to guarantee measurement accuracy.
6. Do not bend armored sheath sharply, which may damage internal thermocouple wires.
7. Keep cold junction temperature stable; use cold junction compensation in DCS or transmitter side.
