1. Product Description

Foxboro valve position transmitter is a precision field instrument for measuring and transmitting the actual stroke position of pneumatic control valves. It converts the mechanical valve travel into standard 4-20mA analog signal or digital bus signal, feeding real-time valve position back to DCS/PLC control system. It can be integrated together with Foxboro intelligent valve positioner (SRD991 / SRI986 series). The modular structure supports linear and rotary valve actuators, designed for continuous position monitoring in industrial process automation.

4. Notes / Precautions

1. Select proper explosion-proof version according to hazardous zone classification, strictly follow local explosion safety regulations during installation.
2. Keep instrument housing intact; do not open the cover when power is on in explosive atmosphere.
3. Use clean, dry and filtered instrument air; oil, water or dust in air source will damage internal components.
4. Mount the unit firmly, avoid excessive mechanical vibration and impact.
5. Complete calibration after installation, re-calibration is required after disassembly or actuator replacement.
6. Wiring shall comply with intrinsic safety wiring rules; separate signal cable from high-power cables to avoid interference.
7. Regular maintenance: check air filter, sealing condition and cable connection periodically.
