1. Product Description

FOXBORO Conductivity Sensor (including contacting 871CC/871CR series and electrodeless inductive 871EC/871FT series) is a high-precision analytical sensor under Schneider Electric Foxboro brand, designed for online continuous measurement of liquid conductivity and temperature in industrial process. It converts the conductivity of conductive liquid into measurable electrical signals, and cooperates with FOXBORO transmitters (876EC / 876CR) to realize real-time monitoring of solution concentration and water quality. Two main types:

• Contacting conductivity sensor: for ultra-pure water and low-conductivity clean fluid measurement.
• Electrodeless (toroidal / inductive) conductivity sensor: no metal wetted parts, suitable for corrosive liquid, slurry, acid & alkali solution, avoiding electrode polarization and fouling.

4. Notes / Precautions

1. Select the correct sensor type, cell constant and wetted material according to liquid medium, conductivity range, temperature and pressure before installation.
2. Install the sensor in proper flow position; avoid air bubbles, sediment accumulation and strong mechanical vibration.
3. Protect the sensing surface from scratch, contamination and coating; regular cleaning is required for slurry or easy-fouling medium.
4. Calibrate with standard conductivity solution periodically to maintain measuring accuracy.
5. Do not exceed the rated temperature and pressure limit of the sensor, otherwise permanent damage will occur.
6. For hazardous area installation, strictly follow explosion-proof specification and use approved cable and fittings.
7. Static protection must be taken during maintenance; cut off related circuit power before disassembly.
8. Use matched FOXBORO transmitter and dedicated cable; ordinary third-party cable may cause signal deviation.
