FOXBORO Analog Output Module (AO Module, typical FBM215 / FBM237 series) is a core I/O card for Foxboro I/A Series & Evo DCS system under Schneider Electric. It converts digital control commands from DCS controllers into standard 4–20mA / 0–20mA analog current signals to drive field actuators, control valves and positioning devices. Some models support HART protocol, overlaying digital diagnostic data on analog current loop for bi-directional communication with smart field instruments. It connects to DCS backplane bus and works with termination assemblies (TA) for field wiring, to execute closed-loop continuous process control in industrial plants.

4. Precautions
