The Foxboro Valve Position Feedback Module is a dedicated field component for pneumatic control valves. It detects the actual stroke/rotary position of the valve actuator, converts mechanical valve travel into standard 4-20mA analog or digital bus signal, and feeds real-time valve position data back to DCS or PLC control systems. This module is often integrated with Foxboro intelligent valve positioners (SRD991 / SRI986 series). It provides closed-loop position feedback for valve regulation, and supports valve health monitoring and diagnostic functions for process automation.

4. Notes / Precautions

1. Mount strictly follow NAMUR standard; ensure the connecting lever has no jamming or excessive clearance, otherwise position signal will drift.
2. For hazardous zone installation, use certified intrinsically safe cables and comply with local explosion-proof regulations.
3. Avoid direct strong impact, heavy vibration and corrosive gas splash on the module housing.
4. Do not exceed the specified ambient temperature range; condensation environment needs extra protection.
5. Calibrate zero point and full stroke after installation or mechanical overhaul of valve actuator.
6. Regularly inspect mechanical linkage and wiring terminals to prevent loose connection leading to signal loss.
7. Use original spare parts for replacement; non-genuine accessories may cause feedback inaccuracy and loss of explosion-proof certification.
