The 125840-02 is a half-height module that installs in the back of the 3500 rack, directly behind the main power supply module. In a 3500 system, power supplies are responsible for converting incoming utility power into the regulated DC voltages required by the monitoring and protection modules in the rack. The 125840-02 is the “input” side of this equation for low-voltage AC applications.

• Redundancy Support: The 3500 rack can accommodate two power supplies. If two 125840-02 modules are used with corresponding power supplies, the system provides full power redundancy. The lower supply acts as primary and the upper as backup.

• Voltage Compatibility: The 125840-02 is strictly for Low Voltage AC (85-132 Vac). Do not connect High Voltage AC (220V) to this module, as it will blow the internal fuse and potentially damage equipment.

• Fuse Replacement: If the “Supply OK” LED on the front power supply module is off, check the fuse on the 125840-02 PIM. Use only the specified replacement fuse (typically 01720025).

• Slot Placement: Must be installed in the designated power supply slots on the far left side of the 3500 rack (rear side).
