Important Considerations & Precautions
- CT Selection: The device must be used with a compatible Bender measuring current transformer. The accuracy of the system depends on the correct ratio and quality of the CT.
- Conductor Placement: All current-carrying conductors (all phases and the neutral) must pass through the transformer window. The protective earth (PE) conductor must never pass through the transformer.
- System Type: This model is designed for TN and TT systems. It is not intended for use in ungrounded (IT) systems (for IT systems, an Insulation Monitoring Device/IMD like the Bender ISOMETER® is required).
- Testing: It is recommended to use the integrated “Test” button periodically to verify the functionality of the internal relay and electronics.
