The iso685-S series represents the pinnacle of Bender’s monitoring technology. It uses the patented AMP Plus measurement principle, which allows it to accurately monitor systems with high leakage capacitances (up to 1000 $\mu$F) and modern power electronics, such as variable speed drives (VFDs) and inverters. It provides continuous monitoring without disconnecting the system, ensuring high operational reliability.

Important Considerations (Precautions)

Only for IT Systems: This device is strictly for unearthed (IT) systems. It must not be used in grounded (TN or TT) systems.

Single Device Rule: In a coupled IT system, only one ISOMETER® may be active at any given time. Using two monitors simultaneously will cause measurement errors.

System Coupling: If two IT systems are connected via a tie-breaker, use the Bender BCOM interface to ensure the devices coordinate their measurements.

Measurement Time: In systems with very high capacitance, the measurement may take several seconds to stabilize. This is normal as the device must “charge” the system capacitance to get an accurate reading.
