The AutomationDirect D2-06B-1 is a 6-slot base (rack/chassis) belonging to the DirectLOGIC 205 (DL205) micro-PLC series. It provides the mechanical mounting and backplane communication pathways for a DL205 CPU (or interface module) and up to five I/O or specialty modules.

Important Usage & Installation Precautions

• Auxiliary 24V Current Limit: The onboard 24V DC supply is limited to 300 mA. Exceeding this limit will cause power supply shutdown or degradation.
• Proper Grounding: Ensure the frame ground terminal (FG) is connected to a clean earth ground to mitigate electrical noise and protect sensitive electronics.
• Module Insertion: Always power off the main supply before inserting or removing CPU and I/O modules to prevent backplane or module damage (no hot-swapping).
• Thermal Management: Maintain adequate vertical clearance (at least 2 inches above and below) inside the enclosure to ensure proper convection cooling.
