The INNPM12 serves as the primary communication gateway within the Symphony/Harmony rack system. It acts as the interface bridge connecting the local processing units (such as Harmony Area Controllers, BRC100/200/300 controllers, or HRU modules) to the Cnet (Control Network)—ABB’s redundant, high-speed, plant-wide communication backbone. It offloads network protocol processing from main control modules, ensuring high-speed data transfer across the entire DCS network without degrading loop control performance.
